Member of an approximately 10-person international team responsible for real-time customer-event processing, downstream data activation, and privacy-related data workflows.
- Develop and optimise Java and Spring Boot services that consume near-real-time behavioural events from Confluent Kafka and deliver them to downstream customer-engagement platforms through REST APIs.
- Designed and implemented Kafka-based data retention and an asynchronous GDPR Right to Be Forgotten flow using SQS, Lambda, Redshift, REST deletion APIs, and completion tracking across third-party systems.
- Migrated legacy Amazon Redshift Python UDFs used across numerous ETL workflows to Python-based Lambda UDFs ahead of AWS end-of-support.
- Modernised legacy services, Maven configurations, and acceptance tests, reducing maintenance overhead across 30+ services.
- Define and maintain application-owned AWS infrastructure through Terraform, including Lambda, SQS, EventBridge, S3, ECS, CloudWatch, IAM, Secrets Manager, and GitLab OIDC integrations.
- Contribute to solution design and code reviews while supporting less experienced engineers through onboarding and technical guidance.

Core engineering team member building an internal platform for customer onboarding, subscriptions, connectivity diagnostics, billing, equipment delivery, and technical-support workflows.
- Built new Java and Spring Boot microservices and extended existing services using REST APIs, ActiveMQ, PostgreSQL, and Kubernetes.
- Implemented integration components for credit-check, telecommunications, equipment-delivery, and internal billing systems.
- Diagnosed subscription and pricing inconsistencies in an event-sourced customer model and contributed to an internal remediation service for customer-fact corrections and bulk tariff migrations.
- Built Grafana dashboards for throughput, latency, CPU, and memory, then used them to identify bottlenecks and tune Kubernetes resource settings for higher migration RPS.
- Maintained and enhanced a React-based internal portal used by operational staff.
